Abhi Mehrotra, MD, MBA, FACEP. Abhi is a Co-Founder and CEO of MedScribes, where he leads the company and sets the overall strategic direction of the firm. In addition to growing the leading medical scribe company of North Carolina, Abhi is the Vice Chair for Operations in the UNC Department of Emergency Medicine. He also serves as Medical Director of the UNC Hillsborough Campus ED. As a provider of patient care, he has first-hand experience using scribes and sees the need for clear documentation of care and the importance preserving the physician-patient relationship. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Doctorate of Medicine from The Ohio State University, as well as an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In his spare time, Abhi is a college football enthusiast who enjoys spending time with his family. And they too are big Buckeye fans.

Hetal Mehrotra, MHA. Hetal is a Co-Founder and COO of MedScribes, where she leads company operations and finances. With a background as a clinical dietitian, Hetal began her health administration career in 2002 at UNC Hospitals in Performance Improvement and Patient Safety. She is experienced with data review and process improvements related to CMS pay-for-performance patient safety metrics. In addition, she has acquired a strong appreciation for clear and comprehensive provider documentation, complexity of coding and billing, and the impact of the EMR on providers. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Dietetics and a Master’s in Health Administration (MHA) from The Ohio State University. At home, Hetal enjoys daily adventures with her husband and two children, who are a continuous source of laughter, personal growth, and motivation.

Scott Quilty, MBA. Scott is a Co-Founder and President of MedScribes, where he leads sales, marketing, and client services. He spent the last 5 years as a marketing consultant and director of business development at a leading Washington, DC-based marketing services firm. Prior to that, Scott served 7 years in the U.S. Army, first as a Noncommissioned Officer and later as a Ranger-qualified Infantry Captain with the 10th Mountain Division. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of New Hampshire, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Scott calls Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina home with his wife and two children.
